Ludovic HENNEBEL

Ludovic Hennebel holds a PhD in Law from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, the Diploma on International Protection of Human Rights from the Institut International des Droits de l'Homme René Cassin (IIDH) and a LLM in human rights and civil liberties (University of Leicester, UK).
He is a researcher at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and member of the Perelman Center for Legal Philosophy at the Law Faculty of the Université Libre de Bruxelles (2000-2007) headed by Prof. Benoît Frydman. He did a research programme of one year at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (San José, Costa Rica, 2003-2004) under the supervision of Antonio Cançado Trindade, President of the Court. He is currently pursuing his research on Global Justice at the New York University School of Law where he’s affiliated to the Center for Human Rights and Global Justice, headed by Prof. Philip Alston.
His research focuses on International Human Rights Law, Global Law and Justice. Ludovic Hennebel has carried out, most particularly, in-depth research on the American Convention on Human Rights, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, access to justice, transnational trials, corporate responsibility in violations of Human Rights, Human Rights classification, the fight against terrorism under the rule of law, comparisons between the United States Supreme Court and the European Court of Human Rights case law.
