José ANTONIO ALFARO
- Research Assistant
José Antonio Alfaro has been a research assistant at the Magna Carta Institute since August 2008. His focus area of research is on Human Rights in Latin America.
Currently, he is pursuing a Masters’degree in political science at the Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium). At the same university he obtained his BA degree, with distinction, in political science with a minor in European studies. This year he will finish an Ethics Certificate organized by the Chaire Hoover.
Jose Antonio Alfaro has also studied political science at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (Mexico City) and taken seminars in International Relations at the Centro Juan Marinello de la Havana (Cuba) and at the London School of Economics-Peking University (China).
Before coming to Magna Carta Institute, he spent several months working as an intern for the political and international affairs departments at the Mexican Embassies in Brussels (Belgium) and Beirut (Lebanon).
